Professional surveyors play a critical role in the land/title system that forms the basis of the real estate industry. In a surveying career, you will be responsible for obtaining and analyzing land and geographic information and insuring that the information is properly recorded. In surveying school you will also be trained on the use of the latest surveying equipment. Many surveyors spend a lot of time working outdoors, but they also spend time in office locations in analysis and report generation.
