Plumbing Schools
This page offers career resources including articles and related links; a directory of schools providing quick and easy information about their programs, organized by location; and links to related career categories.
Plumbers can find work in a variety of situations, including commercial and industrial construction, new home constructions, and home remodeling. In addition to basic plumbing skills, plumbers also need to know how to work with carpenters and electricians, understand basic construction techniques, and be knowledgeable about building codes and regulations. Most plumbers must also take 144 hours of additional training classes every year.
Plumbing schools provide the training needed in classical subjects, such as math, algebra, gemoetry, physics, and chemistry. In addition, course material will typically cover safety issues (for example proper venting systems), and related building codes and regulations.
