At Westwood College students can earn their degree in as little as 17 months. The school also offers tuition-free graduate retraining and has placed graduates in companies like Lockheed-Martin and IBM. Westwood College was founded in 1953 in Denver, Colorado, and was known for many years as the Denver Institute of Technology. Westwood College has since expanded to providing career-focused education to a broad range of students in a variety of technical fields. Today, the College includes 15 campuses in Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Dallas, Texas; and Houston, Texas. The school also features the Westwood Online option, which allows students to complete programs without ever having to attend a campus. Though the history of the current Westwood College system can be traced back many decades, throughout its history, one element has not changed: Westwood's commitment to career-focused education in high-demand technical fields.

The staff can help with the transition to college, including issues related to scheduling, housing, academics, and financial concerns.
