Founded in 1900 by Walter Rasmussen, the College is a private, for profit, two-year degree granting College with campuses in Eagan, Mankato, Minnetonka, and St. Cloud. The College awards Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees, diplomas, and certificates in a multitude of fields. The faculty, staff, and administration at Rasmussen are dedicated to helping students achieve their career goals. The school is student-centered, career focused, technology driven, and committed to student success. Rasmussen College is accredited by The Higher Learning commission of the North Central Association of Colleges & Schools (NCA) and by The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges & Schools (ACICS).

Rasmussen College is dedicated to helping every student find the necessary resources to help them pay for their college experience. Every campus has a Financial Staff who work with students to identify financial aid opportunities. Students may qualify for State and Federal student loan programs, Gift Aid in the form of grants, and/or Workstudy. The College also offers a number of scholarship opportunities, such as the Early Enrollment Tuition Scholarship, Dollars for Scholars, and the Institutional Grant for Out of State Residents. Total tuition cost is dependent on several factors, including course selection, length of program, and number of courses studied each quarter.

Rasmussen College takes career search preparation seriously, and the Career Services Department is committed to helping graduates secure jobs and find future success. Career Services helps students with developing professional career-seeking skills; resume, cover letter, and reference sheet preparation; creating professional portfolios; polishing interviewing skills; career guidance and planning; and networking with local businesses. Students bear the ultimate responsibility for finding a job, Rasmussen does everything they can to help with the search. Employers understand that the graduates of Rasmussen College have the skills that are necessary for exceeding expectations in the business world.
