L'École Culinaire is a culinary arts school located in St. Louis, Missouri. St. Louis is Missouri's largest city with a population of about 453,000 people. L'École Culinaire prepares students for a career in the culinary industry. It offers a Diploma in Culinary Essentials, and Associate Degree in Occupational Sciences in Culinary Arts.
L'École Culinaire's Diploma in Culinary Essentials program is 60 weeks in duration and prepares students to perform the tasks necessary for the successful operation of the brigade, line operation, or baking/pastry bench in a food service-related establishment. The Associate Degree in Culinary Arts program is 90 weeks in duration and prepares students to perform the tasks necessary for entry-level management in culinary applications for the food service industry.
All students at L'École Culinaire complete ten-week internships in St. Louis' food service facilities, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, casinos, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and food purveyors. This provides students with the real-world experience that employers value so highly.
A successful culinary arts student graduating from L'École Culinaire will have a strong background in baking and pastry, and will develop a thorough knowledge and honed skills in all other aspects of the hospitality industry, food and beverage management.
For students who may require financial assistance to pay for their education at the L'École Culinaire, financial aid is available.
The admission requirements for L'École Culinaire are very straightforward. Applicants must have a high school diploma, or a GED, and a passion for food. An admissions coordinator can help prospective students with the application/admissions process. Classes start every ten weeks.
