At the International Academy of Design and Technology, students can earn a degree in as little as 18 months. Classes are taught by instructors who have real-world professional experience, and who give students the inside knowledge they need to have a successful career in today's job market. Students use the same techniques and tools that professionals in the industry use, and they have access to extra assistance for all their classes through the Academy's Learning Centers. Day, evening, and Saturday classes allow adults the flexibility they need to continue working full-time. Small class sizes ensure students receive one-on-one, individual attention and guidance.

In order to be accepted in time to start their program, students should apply as soon as possible. The requirements for admission to the International Academy of Design and Technology are a high school diploma or its equivalent, a completed application for admission, and a scheduled personal interview with an admissions representative. The personal interview allows students and their families to visit the school's equipment and facilities and get any of their curriculum and career questions answered. Many students take advantage of financial aid to offset the cost of college. The Financial Aid staff at IADT help students with tuition planning and financial assistance.

IADT's priority is to assist graduates in finding employment opportunities. For this reason, the Academy is part of the Career Education Corporation network.
