Champlain College was founded in 1878 as the Burlington Collegiate Institute. Champlain is located in downtown Burlington, Vermont, in what is known as the "Hill Section". The Hill Section is a beautiful, historic part of Burlington not far from Lake Champlain. Champlain is also close to many Vermont ski resorts. Champlain is a school of over 1,500 full-time students that offers 29 undergraduate degree programs and two master's degree programs, including a Master's of Science in Managing Innovation and Information Technology and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA).
Champlain College celebrates the Vermont ideal of practical, independent thinking by teaching students the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in a variety of professional careers.
