Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts
Le Cordon Bleu Patisserie and Baking
Students at the California Culinary Academy find a positive, comprehensive, and challenging hands-on experience that prepares them for an exciting career in the culinary and hospitality field. While living in San Francisco, a culinary and hospitality capitol, they can earn an associate's degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts or Hospitality & Restaurant Management, or a certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts. These degrees and certificates give graduates the skills they need to work at fine restaurants, top hotels, posh resorts, luxury cruise ships, pastry shops, and more. Candidates for the CCA need proof of high school graduation (or GED), must fill out an Academy Application Form, submit an administrative fee, and schedule a personal interview and tour of the Academy.
The Academy makes every attempt to help students reach their professional goals through their Financial Aid Department. The Department assists students in determining the best financing options for their education, and financial aid is available for those who qualify. For eligible students, both federal and state financial aid is available by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at time of enrollment. As part of the enrollment process, students meet with a Student Financial Advisor after they complete their application for admission.
Founded in 1977, the California Culinary Academy is dedicated to providing students with high quality education that prepares them for a successful career in the culinary an hospitality industries. And the Academy offers an excellent location as well. Located in San Francisco, one of the greatest culinary and hospitality capitols of the world, the Academy enjoys all that San Francisco has to offer, including one of the highest concentrations of hotels and restaurants in the country. This means that students are virtually surrounded by a real-life classroom and a huge resource of instructors. And during their externships, Academy students have the unique opportunity to work with these local businesses. When students aren't studying and learning, they also have access to the Bay Area's natural environment, including hiking, mountain biking, sailing, surfing, or just taking a walk along the beautiful waterfront or the Golden Gate Bridge. San Francisco also offers many museums, boutiques, art fairs, live music, and a brand new baseball stadium.
The center of the Academy is the historic California Hall in downtown San Francisco and features a Basic Skills laboratory, baking and pastry kitchens, confiseries, butcheries, demonstration kitchens, lecture classrooms, mixology and gaming rooms, a computer classroom, and an extensive library. In this environment, students have the opportunity to develop and apply skills that will serve them well throughout their entire careers. The culinary and hospitality industry is growing fast, and with hands-on education from the California Culinary Academy, students can gain the skills employers desire.
