During radiography training you will receive hands on experience using modern X-ray equipment, which will allow you to gain simulated practical experience with radiography equipment. Radiography courses will also teach you the critical safety procedures in using radiography equipment. All radiography training programs are taught by professionals with academic and clinical expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic radiography.
35 states require radiographers to be licensed, and most hospitals require their radiographers to be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART). After completing radiography training, you will most likely find employment in a hospital, medical clinic, or physician's office. Radiographers X-ray parts of the body to reveal problems such as tumors, fluid build-up or broken bones.
