LPN To BSN
This page offers career resources including articles and related links; a directory of schools providing quick and easy information about their programs, organized by location; and links to related career categories.
These programs are designed for licensed practical nurses who want to obtain a bachelors degree in nursing. While licensed practical nurses are typically limited to basic care roles, LPNs who have earned their bachelors degree have been trained for leadership roles and career advancement, and are equipped to move into positions of nursing management.
Curriculum in LPN to BSN programs are built upon a foundation of biological, physical, and social sciences, all of which contribute to the science of nursing. Programs also include courses that develop the intellectual, social, and cultural aspects of the professional nurse. Check with each school to see if it is fully accredited by the National League for Nursing (NLN).
As you already know, the nursing profession is in great demand, and the nursing shortage is well known. Nurses with a bachelors degree perform better in their profession and assume roles that demand critical thinking, decision-making, communication and leadership skills.
