New Orleans Colleges And Schools
New Orleans is the largest city in Louisiana, with over 450,000 inhabitants. New Orleans is located on the Mississippi River, and Lake Pontchartrain, on Louisiana's Gulf coast. New Orleans is home to 21 schools, ranging in size from less than a hundred students, to Tulane University with over 10,000 students. New Orleans is a wonderful blend of French and Spanish traditions from its rich early colonial history. It is famous for fabulous culinary traditions and music. New Orleans is a melting pot of musical traditions, including, jazz, blues, rock and roll, Cajun, gospel, country, classical, and Zydeco. As with any major metropolitan area, New Orleans is a center of art, communication, culture, design, entertainment, fine dining, history, nightlife, and industry. New Orleans is also home to two of college football's bowl games, the Sugar Bowl and the New Orleans Bowl. Minor League Baseball's Class-AAA New Orleans Zephyrs, a farm team for MLB's Washington Nationals, make their home in New Orleans.
